I’m a vegan thinking about transitioning to raw food. is it hard for you?

  3. btuck1223 says:

it is pretty challenging. I’m currently up to about 50% raw. It has taken a couple of months to get used to it. The whole thing is just discipline, really. No different from transitioning from meat-eating diet to a vegetarian diet, then from there to a vegan lifestyle. Fruit and nuts/seeds are the easiest way to go for raw food, I believe. Just hit up a local farmer’s market each week, and it’ll help you stay on track.

I try to eat at least 75% Raw, if you look at your plate and 3/4th of it is fresh food, I believe you are on the right track. I am working my way to cutting out meat because of personally having mood swings after eating it. I started Hot Yoga and Spinning which both have been amazing detoxifiers.

i;m not looking to loose weight, but gain some. is there something i can read or can be pointed to on this? is milk allowed or yogurt?

  7. FinalBossDesu says:

What the fuck is a live food? Do you even know what you’re talking about?

  8. honesttaxes says:

Allowed? Who’s to tell you you can’t have milk? But if you want raw, drink raw milk, unpasteurized, not from the store but from the dairy. Try making yogurt and kefir from raw milk. You DON’T have to be vegan to go raw and get the benefits.

You should try eating more potatoes and eating more if you want to gain some. Dairy products are bad for us and cause Severe Mucus in our bodies. I have suffered the consequences many times and now have eczema. Since I started eating all organic foods all my problems are going away.

  10. WestSideCoolidge says:

Thats good :) I have also became a vegan and eat everything 100% raw. It takes a lot of discipline but it is worth it. I had bad eczema and acne and acid reflux and now all these problems are going away. No need for drugs or creams.

  11. WestSideCoolidge says:

You are right. The body wants live Organic food so that it can extract all the life from it and keep us healthy, beautiful, and filled with life. As we are live and organic as well.

I love almonds :) they fill my tummy up. I also love eating Walnuts :)

I see the point you are trying to make honesttaxes, but I think that unpasteurized milk contains more fat than pasteurized milk.

Probably because your not getting enough sugar in your diet. Eat more fruit. Fruit contains natural sugar.

This guy talks so fast and slurs so much that I hardly understood a word.

  18. eblasphamy1 says:

are dried fruits n veggies a no no cuz they are cooked by the sun?

  19. domenicomason77 says:

is there a diffrence between natural sugar and prossesed sugar are they not both glucose

  20. dusktildawn16 says:

Natural fruits contain fiber which slows down the and regulate the sugar, so unless you’re taking that sugar with Metamucil it’s not the same. Dried fruits and vegetables aren’t cooked like we cook food, the raw food movement is keeping foods under 118 degrees F so using dehydrators is fine as long as it’s below that temperature.

Great clip. Simple positive effective advice. I’ve been delighted by my body’s response to adding raw food. My desire for sugar has gone way down.

  22. Lewis1985 says:

The body doesn’t want grains *mumbled words here*.

Anyone know what he says there?

  23. boysiv says:

    @Lewis1985
He says “the body doesn’t want grains, they are essentially glue”

  24. herbal1971 says:

I bought a juicer a few weeks ago and find I’m wanting to get away from cooked foods.

Cooked food just seems to lie heavily in the stomach.

If the less energy one spends on digestion, the more energy the body has, then logically if one eats nothing, one should be bursting with energy, as opposed to dead.
