So you know… a serving of beans is 1/2 a cup. Nuts are 1/4 of a cup. Oatmeal is 1/2 a cup uncooked, and rice is 1/3 of a cup uncooked.

    so alive meat is ok?

As a nutritionist (in training, haven’t finished my clinical hours yet) and vegan I feel that the proportion of legumes, seeds and nuts to grains is a bit low. You should be having about the same number of serves of grains as legumes, nuts and seeds (together) to combine, preferably one of each group in the same meal to form a more complete amino acid profile.

Go vegan … for your health, the planet, and (obviously) the animals!

Now, I want to ask, I am NOT a big alcohol drinker, but I do drink on occasions (half a glass of wine is usu what we always have–just wine) is that bad as well?

  13. ingaambrosia says:

The things at the top of the pyramid are for minimal or limited use.

  14. ingaambrosia says:

    Everything in moderation. :^)

@dannidandannikins I stopped eating meat because I realized what it was, a living breathing being that has a right to live.

    1. I don’t know why my comment came up 4 times.
    2. Animals don’t have rights: Something can only have rights if it is capable of comprehending the concept of rights; animals don’t have that faculty; ergo no rights.

Hello I love your video, I just wonted to ask you a question about calcium, im a vegan, and I know all about the right foods to eat, and I have plenty of nuts and seeds and soya, and everything you woud find calcium in, but when I had a blood test, the doctor found I was low in calcium, coud this posably be because my body just has a problem turning these foods into calcium?

i love vegans; this means more meat for the rest of us :)

@PilatesGirl1011 I think you will find that veganism is very subjective. I know vegans that eat honey and bend the rules a little. No one is perfect. “Can’t” have those things are “don’t” have those things. Every vegan slips up, either on purpose or by mistake. :-)

  23. ingaambrosia says:

@PilatesGirl1011 I meant *or don’t have those things.

  24. ingaambrosia says:

@FalineWhiteTailDoe Thanks for that shooting video. Those women were awesome. Let me know what happens. If anyone else has health questions, I will respond personally by email but you can ask them here. :-)

Two things, Tags go in the tags section and how can anyone not eat KFC? It is the most delicious food on the planet and actually gives millions of chickens the chance of life they wouldn’t have otherwise. Ok they aren’t especially happy but surely it is better to have lived than not?
I am not overweight, I am fit and healthy on a diet of dead animals. After all isn’t that what they are there for? That’s the way nature works. Now where’s my pork scratchings? Yummy.
