<p>Learn how to lose weight on the diet plan known as the Kind Diet with the diet tips in this video. Video transcript: Hi, my name is Lisa Moskovitz and I&#8217;m a registered dietitian and certified in the state of New York, with a private practice on the upper east side. I specialize in weight management, exercise and sports nutrition. And I&#8217;ll be talking to you about diets. The Kind Diet, created by Alicia Silverstone as an approach to lose weight, while following that vegetarian, environmental and animal-friendly approach. So what you&#8217;re doing is basically eating like a vegetarian, reducing a lot of animal fats, promoting more plant-based foods, fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes. In my opinion, by cutting back on animal foods you&#8217;re decreasing some essential nutrients, particularly protein, zinc and iron. So, if you already area vegetarian looking to lose weight, this program could work for you. However, if you&#8217;re not a vegetarian, and you have no problem eating chicken, poultry and fish, then I recommend including that in your diet because I don&#8217;t necessarily think that being a vegetarian is the way to go for weight loss.
